Fun Ford Sunday
Fun Ford Sunday
I decided to drive the Anglia to the Ford meet in Vallejo, Ca at the last moment on Sunday.
There were a few Capris and Merkurs but the Anglia was the only English Ford at the event.
2010 pictures just came out this week.

Pete,
I did not realise that the Anglebox was yours. What a superb looking period piece right down to the Cosmics. As someone who grew up in the sixties in England, I can tell you we would have been drooling over that as we waited at the bus stop on our way to school, had it driven by.
Sadly, my parents are both gone now, but on the bright side you could adopt me...

Hi Gary,
I may consider that, I could use another tax write off.
It was just an ordinary 124E when I first bought it in the eary 70's.
Through out the years I modified the car with period parts that are now sought after but were inexpense at the time. It would be beyond my means nowadays to built another like it.

Happy to report that Bob is still going strong at 80 years (maybe more) and still regularly commenting at the Cortina group at yahoo. Keeps threatening to write a book. We can only hope. From the "It's a small world dept." my best friend from High School in the UK helps prepare an Anglia back there for Wink's nephew in vintage racing.

Hello Group,
I was supposed to go to the Ford meet in Vallejo as one of the Pinto group. My time in California had already taken me well into May so I loaded the van and trailer one week before the show and headed home.
Fred, Alberto, and Mike were there representing the Pinto so that is cool.
I love your Anglia!
Lots of work and quite shiny!!!!
