Thank you! It was a group effort. It's great to have it back together and not sitting there weighing on my soul anymore.

Joel Hershoren and his team at Waterford Hills deserve to be congratulated on a fantastic vintage racing weekend. Thanks also to those Cortina die-hards who travelled from the West Coast or Florida and who provided hours of fascinating conversation, and to those who brought their cars long-distance to put on a show on the track. The drivers and owners could not have been more welcoming and forthcoming in the pits.

I had a blast, and it was a pleasure to meet you all.

Well, in the absence of any better offerings, here are a few of mine. I think the final tally was three real Mk1 Lotus-Cortinas, two Mk 1 GTs with twin-cam engines, two twin-cam Escorts, two Mk 1 GTs, one Mk 1 estate, one Anglia, two Mk 1 Capris, one Mk 2 Capri and two Mk 1 Fiestas. #41 is the ex-Alan Mann, ex-Allan Moffat car.

Forum member, and proselytizer for the Mark 1 Cortina Owners Club (a lonely job here in the Midwest...)

Here's a link to the Waterford Hills website - there are some great professional pictures under the Gallery tab:

Also check them out on Facebook for more pictures.
