Tony Viskov’s Scorpio. Tony has installed European style headlights and grille.
Jim McVein, Mark Viskov and Michael MacSems. The prizes really are modest. Jim must have a wall full of these by now.
The Favorite of Show award goes to Ric Cavallero for his Mk I Escort RS 2000. The book is Graham Robinson’s Ford in Touring Car Racing.

PNWIFM 2008 The Report
I was really pleased with the turn out for this year’s meet. While total attendance peaked at about 35 cars a few years ago, the quality and variety of the 16 cars on display this year was great.
The cars and owners attending this year were as follows:
Mk II Zodiac – Michael M.
124E Anglia – Pete S. (this was the first time in nine years that we have had a 105/123E Anglia in site).
Mk I Cortina GT 2-dr – Steve M.
Mk I Cortina GT 4-dr – Steve K.
Mk I Cortina Lotus – Jim M. (* won Favorite Cortina)
Mk II Cortina race car – Kehl P (* won Favorite 1960-70).
Mk I Capri 1600 – Mark V (* won Favorite Capri)
Mk I Capri 2000 – Doug D.
Mk I Capri V8 – Steve L.
Mk I Escort RS 2000 – Ric C. (* won Favorite 1971-80) (*won Favorite of Show)
Fiesta – Tom P.
Fiesta – Ray M.
’87 XR4Ti – Rocky L.
’89 XR4Ti – Patty V. (* won Favorite XR4Ti)
Scorpio – Tony V. (* won Favorite 1981-94)
Aussie Capri XR2 -- Pete
Pete Snyders won the prize for Longest Distance. He drove up from San Mateo, CA in the Anglia – about 9 hours each way. There were also Import prizes awarded by the All-Ford Show balloting – I couldn’t keep track of it all, but Steve and Rocky each won a little plaque which are in my possession until we next cross paths.
Thanks to prize donors – Rapido, Capri Club North America and European Ford Owners North America.
Other comments about the show – Not seen this was the large group of XR4Tis from the Pacific Northwest Merkur Owners Network that used to attend up until last year. Also this was the first year that we didn’t have at least one Australian Falcons since they first started coming in 2001. Part of the reason may have been the threat of rain (which remained only that).
Attendance for the larger All-Ford Meet, though under new management, was also pretty low compared to past years. However there was a huge turnout of late model Mustangs and the NW Galaxie Meet (over on the far side of the field) was well attended too.
Had a nice drive home (via Longview) in a two-car convoy with Ray Morris in his sweet Fiesta.
