I was both pleasantly surprised and honored when I (my car) was invited to be parked in a display lineup at Portland International Raceway on Friday.
A good number of rally related classic cars were in the lineup, and we were able to partake in a parade lap round the course.
It was a fantastic time, and one I'll never forget.
All loaded up Friday morning.
A quick shakedown test revealed that the car had lost the backing nut on the alternator support bracket bolt. I was able to steal a nut and lock washer from the driving lamp assys.
A few pics of some of the display line up included Marks Merkur, Gareths Mk1 Escort and Mk1 Cortina, a Mk1 Lotus Cortina as well as my Mk2 Escort.
And the classic Fords that worked very hard in the rally event included 2 Mk2 Escorts.
