The Portland Oregon All British Field Meet has been going for 32 years now and six years ago the SOVERN Columbia River Classic vintage races was added to this Labor Day weekend event.
Below, I (and anybody else who wishes to) will be posting photos of Euro Ford on display and or competing at this event. To kick it off, here are some pictures from 2008.
There was no English Ford catagory, so the five Fords on site were mixed in with a hodgepodge of other marques.
Roger Neale's 1966 Cortina Lotus was really nice. It was just back on the road this summer after years of storage.
Ric Cavallero's Escort RS2300 is always a show stopper.
Steve Corey's Mk I Cortina GT -- a daily driver. The army truck in the background is a 1975 Beford 4x4 with an interesting history.
Out in the parking lot I found Mark Viskov's 1971 Capri 1600.
The EFONA booth at Sunday's swap meet was a bit lonely. I'll try to set it up on Saterday if we get our EnFo class back in 2010.
On the track, John McCoy (Escort) and Ed Millman (Cortina) appear to be lapping a Jaguar XKE.
EnFos back in the padock after the race (cars belonging to: John McCoy, Alan McColl and Murray Ross).
This year the Columbia River Classic featured The Formula Ford Festival with over 20 Kent 1600 powered FF cars participating.
Portland (OR) ABFM Photo Gallery
I made in back to the Portland ABFM today (looks like the last time I was there was 2008 -- wow). I didn't take an old car, but I did take a lot of photos and had some good chats. Here is a link to my ABFM photos on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ifhp97/set ... 587916248/

Mi8ke, what a great day out that was. A really nice eclectic mix of British cars. Now for the "anorak" in me. If it's an Austin then the wagon is a Countryman: if it's a Morris then it is a Traveller. And the Triumph Herald's number plate denotes a 1966 registration, it should have no letter suffix as a 1960.
Cheers
