Any uk members?
Hi guys just wondering if we have any members from the uk. I saw milton have a nice disc brakes set up for the anglia 105e with standard struts. I spoke to a representative from milton and was told they are not insured to ship to the usa. I will like to kno if anyone of our uk members will be willing to ship the item to me. I will have to paypal them the money . anyone willing to help ? Thanks
Reggie.

I had the same issue too when I bought a set of their steering arms so I had to arrange a buyer there to ship here. The trouble with that is you end up paying their VAT, luckily when I did it I didn't get hit up with any additional costs in Canada.
I find it frustrating when a business advertises that the will export then you talk to them and they tell you that they do export, just not to you.

We've had this issue before in the past forum discussion. Has to do with insurance stipulation B.S. Some businesses and car clubs in GB won't sell suspension parts to N.America customers because of liability concerns.
There are some businesses that will sell directly to us. i.e. Milton, Small Ford spares, 105speed, Teamdeville, Newford parts, to name a few. Teamdeville has performance parts like Milton. Pete

You could use a service such as this to get your goods I would imagine

Just got it off Google, it's a mail forwarding service.

I'm pretty sure if the sale is outside of the U.K., you're excluded from VAT. However since you are having the goods shipped first in the U.K. and then shipping the goods out of country, you are considered a reseller and thus still subject to VAT taxes.Dave C wrote:That's an option, I guess, but you'd be stuck paying the 20%?
