I remember liking those vans when they were newish and you could build something quite neat out of one, sort of reminds me of this Renault van.
You will have to brush up on your French but you can still understand it.

This had a mid-mounted V8 in it. Jackie Stewart thrashed it and loved it.

The thing was a complete beast, I lived in London at that time and the weekends were spent at Brands, Silverstone and any/all circuits within a 100 mile radius of London.

First time I saw it was at Brands but quite a bit before the initial launch, on a weekday, when it was being shaken down and it was swerving and sliding all over the damp track - at the official launch it looked transformed - much less body roll and it stuck to the track very well.

Nicknamed Van Ordinaire by the naughty lads at CCC.

Just looked it up. They went out of business in October 2003 with monthly sales of only 7000 copies. How sad.

My 'must read' every month...

...which is not why I wandered in, I'm looking for a wiring diagram for a Mk1 Cortina GT, the one I have in the manual was obviously written by someone with magnifying eyes.

(and my eyes are not what they once were

I remember my uncle drives one, and it was such a nice vehicle.
