English Fords to be featured at major MidWest show in 2013

Post by GTEstate »

English Fords are to be featured as the Rare Gem marque at the 2013 Mad Dogs & Englishmen show in Hickory Corners, Michigan. The show will be held on July 7th, 2013, amongst the historic barns of the Gilmore Car Museum near Kalamazoo (http://www.gilmorecarmuseum.org/) and under the auspices of the Mad Dogs and Englishmen car club (http://www.maddogsandenglishmen.org/).

It's a fun show in a great location, so for all you Midwestern EnFo owners, pencil in the date and let's see how many different models we can get!

Wow, that is great! Wish I could be there. I'm happy to post a link on the EFONA Facebook page.

Where did you get the info of Engllsh Fords being featured as "rare gem" ?

The Gilmore website says the featured marque is MG and the "Mad Dogs & Englishmen" website, while showing this event on their cal makes no mention of English Fords at all.

Thnx,

Never mind, found it buried on the actual show entry form as a "rare gems" class :D

The Gilmore Car Museum posted some photos from the Mad Dogs and Englishmen show.

Looks like there was at least 1 105E Anglia and a couple Capris in the Rare Gem category

Mad Dogs 2013

We ended up with six English Fords for this year's Rare Gem category: three Capris, a 105E Anglia, a Consul and a Mark 1 Cortina. Not a bad turnout, so thanks to those who brought their cars. I know I had a blast driving across Michigan on virtually empty roads.
