I have a 2.2 Zetec out of a Ford contour. I would like to use it in my Mk3 Cortina one day. On an english forum they do fit Zetecs into cortinas, but not the 2.2s. They say it might be a mazda based engine? I dont think its a crossflow like the smaller zetecs. What RWD tranny would bolt to this engine? Should I look for something from a Miata or small Pickup?

and I thought I read it almost bolts right up to the stock trans
