Oil Drain Plug Washer

Here I go again... Looks like I'm missing another small part from my Thames project. I've got a bit of a leak around my oil pan (sump) drain plug and looking at the parts diagram it appears there should be some type of washer on the plug. I don't have that. (I must have stirred things up when I did a bit of an engine flush, removed the old sludge and put in new oil.) Anybody know what material that washer is made of so that I can make something up or look for something at the hardware or auto parts store? Thin copper maybe? Thanks.

Thanks. Guess I'll need to drain the oil to get the measurements. :(
(Needs to be done eventually anyway.)

Any idea what size copper washer I'm shopping for?

Thanks. I guess I'll try them first, after I figure out what size I need.
