Cortina master cylinder swap?

Post by canadianmk3 »

Im looking to replace the BMC on my cortina. Chances of finding an original one are slim so I want to swap it out for one from another car.

The bolt holes are 81mm apart (2 bolt)
Flange diameter is 40mm
Bore is 20.6mm

Wouldnt mind a slight Bias to the rear because of the rear disc brake conversion I did

Ive heard ones from early land rovers, TR6's, and some subaru BMCs fit.
Anyone know?

Or if anyone has a Mk3 cortina BMC they want gone for cheap, that works too :D

I have been advised that the Master cylinder on my Mk1 is from an early Volvo, possibly a P1800?

What was the conversion you did - I need to update my rear end (there is no easy way to say that!).
