James and the Fiesta Movement

Post by IFHP »

Hi EnFoStuff members,

Our fearless leader James ("Stanchfi") has thrown his hat in the ring to be one of the 100 luckly, media savy, Americans to get to drive a 2011 Fiesta for six months this year and report on it.

It would be great for EnFoStuff and EFONA if one of us were to be selected for this unusual oppertunity to help Ford launch a new European model in North America.

Please take a look at James' video application and feel free to comment.

That was good and it was nice to see the Anglia! The new Fiesta is starting to appear in numbers over here and has had excellent reviews in the motoring media.

Good luck James!

James,

I wonder if you should do a follow up video showing what one of your vids might look like?

Michael

PS: That "Hello there, I didn't see you." Where is that from? Mr. Rogers?

Michael’s Top Ten Fiesta Video Picks.

No, I didn’t watch them all and the final 100 'agents" picked should appeal to a lot of different types of people, but here are ten video bloggers that I would personally want to follow through the six month Fiesta Movement odyssey.

Mark Kleis CA – Total Ford Guy

Davey G. Johnson, CA – Fun to watch, what will he come up with next?

Chuck Cirino, CA – This could be interesting.

Kieran & Simon Wright, NC – I like the rally connection.

Bryan Redeker, CA -- A bit full of himself, but good.

Tom Payne, NC – I am interested in what he has to show us.

James Stanchfield, IN – Love that Anglia

Jason, OK – Dedicated Focus Head, he’s earned it.

Scott McAtee, UT – Lets here it for the family man!

Brad & Emma, OR – You know that Ford is going to pick lots of cute and funny, this couple meets that standard and they are from the Pacific NW.

I was going to write a critique of the contest with pros and cons but I decided I’ve spent way too much time and energy on this….best of luck to those who were chosen!

James,

Thank for putting your hat in the ring and making the effort. I know that I got a vicarious thrill just knowing that you were in the running. Last I checked there were still 40 more agents to be named, but it does seem like they are tilting towards people whose number one qualification is being a “Internet Personality.” Some of the people they have selected so far make a lot of sense but many seem surprisingly boring (at least to me). I thought that you did a particularly good job with the Agent 33 Twitter updates.

At any rate I am already working all the angles that I can think of to get one of these Fiestas to attend our Import Ford Meet in Hillsboro, OR in June.

All the best…

I seem to recall that there was an age limit
to be eligible - or did I misread it?

They were looking for "Millianials" (spelling?) That is the post Gen X generation. However I know of at least one 38 year old who got the nod.

Well Ford has officially announced thier 100 agent picks and James is not on the list (sigh). All further discussion of the Fiesta Movement will take place in the Newer Ford section.
