throttle cable

Post by rdssdi »

does a 1967 or 1968 crossflow GT use a throttle cable? I have a crossflow powered TVR which uses a weber 32 DFD. I need the bracket that bolts to the intake manifold and holds the throttle (and choke) cable.

No, they use linkage for the throttle and cable for the choke. You may want to check some of the Formula Ford sites/suppliers because some of them use cables for the throttle.

Thanks. As the throttle on the Weber is a "half circle" it appeared to me to be for a cable to wrap around. It is entirely possible that that was replaced unless the original Ford Cortina used it with a linkage.

I will try the formula ford people. Looks like I will have to reproduce the now missing "TVR" bracket.

Thanks to all who responded. It is appreciated.
