"Cheap paint" and "last a long time" are two phrases that do not belong in the same sentence.

I understand. I am just trying to find the best paint I can for as little money as possible. I am 16 and I don't have a lot of cash in my pocket.

I do understand your problem. Painting can be pretty expensive. On another forum ( britishcarforum.com ) there have been some who have painted their cars with Rustoleum for somewhere around $50. I can't imagine that will last very long or give a very good look but they swear by it. The only suggestion I might have is find some paint meant for industrial equipment and add the catalyst to it. That is usually long-lasting paint and about $50/gallon, including the catalyst. It probably won't give you a show car finish but it will shine and look pretty good from 20 feet. I doubt you can find metallic though. Best of luck in your project.

I also found some paint in a summit racing catalog $80 for a gallon, $20 for catalyst and 50 for the clear. I think that's pretty good.
