info on different models of Eng. Ford Consul

Post by rhartsoe »

I have just acquired a 1959 Consul convertible and having trouble finding out about it? Is there a web page showing the different models with facts and specs? Is my convertible rare? Where can I get parts like a windshield or accessories like a radio and fender mirrors. Are there English Ford pages showing specs, etc.
old cars, tractors, etc.

Welcome to the forum, your convertible is rare and not only in N America.
There are a few members on this forum that have Consuls. Hopefully they'll show up here. I have a '60 Zephyr we've owned since '85 which is basically a Consul with a straight six. I have quite a few EnFo parts. I can help, at the moment with a ( like new ) Motor manual for the MK2 Consul, Zephyr, Zodiac '56-62.
This will get you started on familiarizing with the model. It gives info on the price when new, mods, I.D., Tech specs, so on.
There are other sources for parts mainly in England some in New Zealand and Australia. In most cases you should be able to find the parts in the U.S.
